Tatreez was very inspired by the landscapes and the stars surrounding the women that stitched and weaved those beautiful dresses we call today as Thobes. Ramallah was a heavy populated Christian Palestinian City. A lot of Tatreez symbols like the moon or the star motifs were influenced in European fashion mostly around Christmas and the holidays. You can see these geometric snowflake patterns in holiday sweaters and as Christmas ornaments. Well where do you think it originates from? The birth place of Jesus of course. And where is that?
