This art piece is inspired by the thousands of Palestinians in the diaspora that for 75 years continued to speak up and not give up their identity despite it being denied and unacknowledged for years. Our ancestors and our martyrs that have passed are our inspiration, and the ones alive fighting are our driving force. Being unapologetically Palestinian is the embodiment of every single individual fighting for a Free Palestine. We have to be unapologetic for who we are and what we demand, because in the words of Ghassan Kanafaani, “You have something in this world, so stand for it."
